Too Faced Born This Way Foundation | Cruelty free review

I have been wanting to change all my make up to only cruelty free brands, however I did not want to spend a fortune doing so. I have decided that once a product is empty I will purchase a replacement from a cruelty free brand and eventually all my products will be cruelty free. I have been reading a few articles recently which have really made me think why should an animal be put through tests for products - Its disgusting, unfair and cruel.

So once my current foundation run out I decided to purchase a foundation from Too Faced which as a brand, they are completely against animal testing and do not test their products on animals. After looking online at many reviews I purchased the 'born this way foundation' from Debenhams for £29.

The packaging is super cute in true Too Faced style, Very Girly and pink! The bottle is a pump which makes it easy to use, hygienic and enables you to get as much of the product out as you can. The print on the bottle itself again is very girly and the bottle has a frost effect to it.

The coverage is advertised as being medium to full, I would agree that it is medium coverage which is very buildable. I use a brush to blend it out on my skin which works pretty well, I do build this foundation up to make the coverage full and it does need touching up once in the day usually at around lunchtime after around 5 hours of wearing it as it starts to fade. Up to this point however it covers my redness and blemishes well.

I brought the foundation in the colour 'Ivory', this colour is pale with a slight yellow undertone. I blend it down to my neck as it is slightly darker for me (only very slightly). I went for this colour as the weather is getting slightly warmer I can get away with it, however if I was buying it in autumn I would have purchased a lighter colour.

I would re-purchase this product again as a little bit goes a long way, one pump is more than plenty for me in one application. I also love that I am supporting a cruelty free brand!!

My 10 favorite things about Spring

I love Spring, I think it is my favorite season of all. Everything just seems so happy and promising.

1. The lighter evenings

I love that I will no longer be coming home from work in the dark! It makes me feel like I can actually do things in the evening and the day is not completely over.

2. Warmer weather

I am a sucker for warmer weather, the thought alone of wearing flip flops puts a massive smile on my face. I cannot wait to bring them out and also to ditch the jackets.

3. A new lease of life

Okay this one has to be on everyone's list, all the baby animals that are born. Who doesn't think lambs and calves are very cute?!? I mean BABY ANIMALS!!

4. Easter

A period of chocolate and bank holidays. Definitely a winner for me.

5. Bright colours

As the weather is getting better its a perfect excuse to bring out brighter colours, don't get me wrong I love a good nude nail however you cannot beat bright pinks, oranges and blues!

6. Cleaning

Any excuse for a de-clutter and super clean, it makes everything so much fresher

7. Food

Fruit and veg start becoming so much nicer in Spring, they appreciate the season changing. I love juicy fruit, you cannot beat it.

8. Motivation

For some reason the thought of spring gives me so much motivation for my goals this year, its almost like a new year feeling for me... a chance to really sort out my goals for the year.

9. Fresh air

Open windows making me feel fresh yet not too cold, the fresh spring smell that comes with the change in the season is unlike no other. I really don't think you can beat it.

10. Flowers

All the flowers start to bloom and the leaves on the trees are coming. I love seeing all of the pretty floral colours spring up in gardens, its such a refreshing sight.

February Favorites

February always goes so quickly, although any month after January seems to just fly by. This month we celebrated Chris' birthday. He isn't really one for birthdays so I try to make is as birthday centered as possible. We headed down to Gunwarf Keys for the day which was lovely and we both decided we need to go down there more often. For dinner we went to the Coal Shed in Brighton, I would highly recommend this restaurant, the steaks are to die for. Ever since we went to Lanzarote we have been on a mission to find a steak on par with the one we had out there and I think we have found it. We had Crab Fritters to start followed by steak with mushrooms and creamed spinach.  We both enjoyed glasses of prosecco and cocktails. This was followed by an evening at the pub with friends who surprised him with a birthday cake (his expression was soo funny, he hates any attention being on him)

I brought this foundation from Too Faced and I am in love. Its perfect for this time of year, plus I am a bit partial to the brand anyway everything is always so pretty.
I have tried this amazing chocolate this month which my dad brought for me, I love salted caramel a little bit too much and this chocolate was amazing! I ate it all in one sitting... it was that yummy.

We went out for breakfast at one of our local pubs, we never realised that they served breakfast in there but it was recommended to us. I had eggs Benedict while Chris had a large fry up with multiple cups of tea. It was so quiet in there, we were the only ones eating and we had a lovely view over the river with the sun shining. I love going out for breakfast, makes me feel like I am on holiday!
