Prague

Two years ago this week Chris and myself went to Prague. To this day it has been the best city we have visited. It is beautiful, the architecture, people, food and style is just perfect. We would go back in a heartbeat. We visited in February and yes it was cold however I don't think I could go in the summer, the cold temperature just makes this city all the more magical. 

We stayed at the Radisson Blu hotel Prague which was lovely, the staff were very friendly and even gave Chris a Birthday cake. 

We climbed for ages up a super steep hill to get to this view and it was so worth it. Once at the top we got a lush hot chocolate and sat in the warm cafe with this view. I had to get a taxi back down though as it was such a trek! 

 

I love this building, it reminds me of a princess castle! 

Charles Bridge 

The first restaurant we went to for lunch was very authentic, it was tucked away in a back street and it was the best place we ate in for the whole trip. 

St Ives

At the beginning of March we all went down to st Ives for a long weekend. It was so nice to get away and chill out for a while. 

We stayed in a new house which was super modern, it was lovely. We were the first people to rent it out, it was found on air b&b and it worked out really well between us. 

The first night was super chilled, we stayed in and cooked a sea food feast and drink plenty of wine 

The second day we went in search of a cream tea and explored the town. It is a very cute town with cobbled streets, we found a man making wicker lobster pots and we had to buy one.

We then went out for a lovely meal in a local restaurant. The food was soo good and we had a really good night.

The next day we went down to a local beach for the boys to attempt to surf... They lasted 14 minutes in the water before admitting defeat!

We then drove down to Mousehole for a drink. It's a very pretty little village and the roads are tiny!

We then went back to the house and cooked an almighty roast dinner, we ate soo much food but it was super good. 

We left around midday on Monday for the long drive home. All in all I had a lovely time- I love Cornwall, it's one of my favourite places. 

Wanderlust

We are all booked up to go down to St Ives with our friends in spring, only for a long weekend however I am just excited about getting away from home! There are 9 of us staying in a cottage, although the plan is for the boys to go surfing, (way way way to cold for that - also I think I would be appalling at it...) I am thinking more chilling out and eating lots as its going to be pretty chilly!. I love booking trips away, by it in the UK or abroad. The excitement of a trip beats anything for me.

Although we are not booked anywhere else as of yet this year I wanted to round off a list of 7 places to go by the time I am 30. That's one a year which I don't think is setting the bar too high - Kind of want to start easy!!

Italy - Amalifi coast - Sorrento

I think Sorrento looks amazing, I used to love selling it to customers in my old job. It looks super dreamy and is a great base to explore the Amalfi coast, Naples and Capri from. To be honest anywhere in Italy would be amazing to visit but Sorrento has stolen my heart and I haven't even visited yet.

Greece - Skopelos 

Obvious reasons - it looks super pretty and Mama Mia was filmed here. This island is still super quiet and typically greek. Which is what you want from a Greek getaway.

Shopping, sights and I would have to go to see a basketball game and a show. These alone would sell it to me.

Austria - Vienna

I would love to go and visit a Christmas market, Vienna is meant to be amazing at Christmas and it looks so magical.

Iceland 

I neeeeed to explore this country, the hot springs, scenery, northern lights and whales. I get so excited at the thought of visiting here its unbelievable! Even how cold it is here doesn't put me off - and thats saying something!

South of France

I would happily road trip down to the South of France and visit all the towns and cities along the coastline. The food and wine would be to die for too, I am sure it would charm the pants off me.

Mauritius 


Need I say anything?! Mauritius to me looks like paradise, the crystal clear sea, white sandy beaches and of course the hotels are just pure luxury. One day!! 

Cornwall

Chris and myself took the new car for a trip down to Cornwall. We had a three day trip going to Falmouth first then onto Fowey. 

We left at 6am and arrived into Falmouth at 11, we were way too early to check into the hotel so decided to carry on driving. We went to Penzance to have a look round and find somewhere to eat for lunch. We found a cute restaurant called Mackerel Sky down a little side street. The food was amazing, Chris had the best fish and chips and I had crab on ciabatta which was a dream, I had never tasted crab before, but now I love it. 

We then drove onto Newlyn to look at the harbor and all the fishing boats. 

After this we went on to Mousehole and went to the lifeboat memorial for those who died in the Penlee lifeboat disaster. This was lovely, especially as it looked right out to Newlyn and the sea. 

After we had explored a bit we checked into our hotel in Falmouth. We stayed at the Greenbank which was great, the location was perfect. We dropped off our bags and headed into town. 

The next day we drove onto St Agnes to take a look at the beach from the car as I refused to get out as it was wet and windy. 

After we drove though Newquay and onto Padstow, which was heaving with people and traffic. We visited the lobster  hatchery and had a drink in the pub. Who knew lobsters started off soo tiny! They are smaller than a fingernail. 

After this we went onto Fowey (Foy) which was super cute. We checked into our hotel, the Fowey hotel which was very cosy and had a lift like the one from titanic! *we only stayed on the first floor but used this lift every single time* 

We left the next morning for the 7 hour trip home, we enjoyed the trip although next time it needs to be longer!
